11 February marked 20 years since ISQ’s Northern Branch was officially opened. At the time, it had around 20 members of staff, but it has expanded significantly since then and currently has almost 200. This growth in human resources has been accompanied over the last 20 years by significant investment in infrastructure, especially in terms of the laboratory and training, with a particular focus on the award-winning ECOTERMOLAB. The Northern Branch’s work currently makes up 15% of ISQ’s business, and it maintains a firm link with the North’s industrial sector and is also significantly represented in international activities in a wide range of sectors. A young, dynamic team guarantees that these last 20 years will be followed by many more.
