Project Code: 2020-1-DE02-KA202-007429

Total Cost: 419.013,00€

Funding: 419.013,00€

GOALS

Green-4-Future aims to align economic goals with environmental and climate goals.

The advent of the European Comission´s EntreComp Framework, as a de facto guide for educators developing entrepreneurship education, was greatly anticipated by professionals in the field. This is the first comprehensive framework gathering desired learning outcomes into a coherent structure and considerably strengthening the acquisition of key competences both in initial (i) and continuous (c) vocational education and training (iVET and cVET) learning environments. While entrepreneurship is still of critical importance to the economic growth of European regions, there are new benchmarks of what future success will look like.

On the other hand, the European Green Deal sets ambitious targets for Europe up to 2050 as a strategic framework aimed at making Europe the first carbon neutral continent. As the third decade of the 21st century beckons, it is not just more entrepreneurs that countries need but more green and sustainable entrepreneurs that will drive the transition towards a circular economy.

Consortium partners believe that EntreComp needs to be reconsidered. It needs to incorporate and reflect the green objectives of our time.

Education will have a significant role to play in supporting the achievement of the European Green Deal objectives and the proposed in-service training to be developed, tested and piloted within the framework of the Green-4-Future project will support VET teachers, tutors and mentors in all VET settings to develop their practice to meet the demands of the future circular economy.

In this context, the Greening of EntreComp and the clarification of new Circular Business Models contained in the Green-4-Future project represents a further and significant strengthening of key competences in iVET and cVET.

EXPECTED OUTCOMES

There are 4 main outcomes expected from the Green-4-Future project, namely:

1. Greening the EntreComp Framework

The EntreComp framework considers 3 interrelated and interconnected competence areas:

  1. Ideas and opportunities,
  2. Resources and
  3. Into action.

Each of the areas is made up of 5 competences, which, together, constitute the building blocks of entrepreneurship as a competence.

Green-4-Future Project will redraft the list of learning outcomes associated with each of the 15 competences, aiming at incorporating the necessary green perspective, which will result in a completely revised GreenEntreComp.

2. Business Modelling for Circular Economy Businesses

3. In-service Training for VET Tutors

In the context of Green-4-Futures a bespoke in-service training programme will be developed to support the continuous professional development of VET tutors to ensure that they are fully committed to the concept of green entrepreneurship and suitably trained to support the business modelling activities of business.

4. Green-4-Future MOOC

The project consortium will develop a Green-4-Future MOOC to present the in-service training materials developed for VET tutors and business modelling training resources developed for entrepreneurs and would be entrepreneurs.
